NEC Australia has been
appointed by the Australian Government Information Management Office
(AGIMO) to the Whole of Government Telecommunications Management Panel.
As
a key supplier on this panel, NEC will provide advice on
telecommunications services such as network integration and management,
PABX management, voice and video communication, carriage service
contracts and end users device management.
The
panel will help Australian Government agencies procure services to
supplement their internal capabilities. This arrangement will also
achieve savings and efficiencies through the procurement process and
better utilisation of aggregated buying power.
Mr.
Alan Hyde, MD, NEC Australia said: “It’s an honour to be appointed to
such an important panel with the Australian Government. Inclusion on
this panel showcases NEC’s commitment to supporting the Australian
Government with telecommunications management services and furthermore
highlights NEC Australia’s strong history working with various
government agencies.”
This is the second Government Panel
that NEC Australia has been appointed to in the past month, as on 10
June 2011, NEC was asked to join the Australian Government Data Centre
Migration Services Panel. The panel provides agencies with a list of
proven suppliers who can assist in a wide range of services supporting
data centre migration.
